Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. She is also the older sister of former UFC Flyweight champion and fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start combat sports in the form of a Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous verdict. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007 followed by she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and a medal gold in the year 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in at the age of 2003. She won the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012 and the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shevchenko made her professional MMA record in 2002 during KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious by TKO in round two and her subsequent 2 matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on the sport of kickboxing. She returned to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in an unanimous decision. She went on to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. After leaving the league in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used her superior striking techniques to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina accepted a UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first bout by a unanimity. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night reward during the bout. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights but then lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. In the past, Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker via second-round TKO.
